Going through a phase of loving all things hexies, I created this quilt using strong bold prints designed by Kaffe Fassett along with other prints that complimented them. I loved making this quilt and it led to another of my designs, , which is the same design but with a border. I then followed these with a table runner, called . Like me. I’m sure you will want to make more projects with these big hexagons

Approximate finished quilt size: 245cm x 198cm (96.5” x 78”)

Fabric Requirements

• 25cm (¼ yd) each of 36 assorted print fabrics (hexagons)
• 65cm (¾ yd) solid green fabric (binding)
• 2.2m (2 ¼ yd) extra wide backing fabric

OR

• 5.3m (5 ¾”) 1.1m wide fabric
• Wadding at least 265cm x 220cm (102” x 81”)

Required

• Rotary equipment
• Template plastic
• Sewing machine with 1⁄4” foot
• Pins and scissors
• Neutral thread for piecing
